Free Image, PDF and Design Tools

This page lists every free tool on StatusKing: converters for JPG, PNG, WebP and PDF, a compressor and resizers for everyday photo jobs, and makers for thumbnails, reel covers, profile pictures and greeting cards. You don't need an account, and nothing has to be installed.

The tools run inside your browser. When you pick a photo or a PDF, the work happens on your own phone or computer and the result downloads straight from there, so your files are not uploaded to our server. That also means speed depends on your device: a large PDF or a big batch of photos will take longer on an older phone than on a laptop.

JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF?

JPG

Best for photos. Files are small because some detail is thrown away, and every time a JPG is saved again it loses a little more. Almost every site, app and government form accepts it, so it's the safe choice when you're not sure.

PNG

Lossless, so nothing is thrown away, and it supports transparent backgrounds. That makes it good for logos, screenshots and text, but a photo saved as PNG is usually much bigger than the same photo as JPG.

WebP

A newer format that is usually smaller than JPG at similar quality and can also be transparent. Ideal for websites. Some older software and upload forms still don't accept it, which is when the JPG converter helps.

PDF

A document format, not an image format. Use it when someone asks for "a document", or when several pages, such as both sides of an ID card or a set of receipts, need to travel together as one file.

Tips for common jobs

  • Photo too large for an online form? Run it through the Image Compressor and lower the quality step by step until it fits. If it still won't fit, use the Image Resizer to reduce the dimensions first, then compress it.
  • Compressing a PNG? The quality slider affects JPG and WebP. PNG is lossless, so the savings are smaller. For a photo, converting to JPG first usually gives a much smaller file.
  • Making a passport photo? Start with a well-lit photo against a plain background, and check the exact size the issuing office asks for before you print.
  • Scanning documents with your phone? Photograph each page, then combine them with the Image to PDF Converter, so you send one tidy file instead of loose pictures.
  • Keep your original. The tools always download a new file and never change the one on your device, so hold on to the original in case you need the full-quality version again.

Frequently asked questions

No. The tools on this page process your files with JavaScript inside your browser, and the result is created on your device. Your images and PDFs are not sent to the StatusKing server.

That depends on how far you push it. At a fairly high quality setting most photos look the same on a phone screen while the file gets noticeably smaller. Very low settings cause blockiness, especially around text and sharp edges, so check the result before you use it.

PNG stores every pixel without loss, while JPG and WebP save space by discarding detail you are unlikely to notice. Converting a photo to PNG can't bring back detail that was already lost; it just stores what is left in a larger format. Use PNG for graphics and transparency, and JPG or WebP for photos.

Yes, in the compressor, the JPG, PNG and WebP converters, the Image to PDF converter and the Image Resizer. The passport, Instagram and design tools work on one image at a time. The table above shows which is which.

Yes, they work in mobile browsers as well as on desktop. Because the processing happens on your device, very large files or long PDFs can be slow on older phones, and a computer handles those more comfortably.
