Compress Image for WhatsApp

WhatsApp shrinks photos you send, and sometimes makes them blurry. Sending a photo that is already compressed to a sensible size (here, 500 KB) keeps more control over how it looks, and it sends faster on a slow connection.

Compress Image for WhatsApp online

WhatsApp shrinks photos you send, and sometimes makes them blurry. Sending a photo that is already compressed to a sensible size (here, 500 KB) keeps more control over how it looks, and it sends faster on a slow connection.

The StatusKing Image Compressor works in your browser. Your pictures are not uploaded, so it is private and quick, and it is free with no sign-up.

How to do it

  1. Add your pictures: drag them in or click Browse Files.
  2. Check the file size limit (500 KB) or change it to the number your form asks for.
  3. Click Compress All, then use Before / After to check the result.
  4. Download each picture, or all of them with Download All.

Tips

  • Send the compressed picture as a document if you want WhatsApp to leave it as it is.
  • For a Status, a picture 1080 × 1920 pixels fills the screen: set it in the Resize boxes.
  • Compress before you send many photos at once to save mobile data.
